Stephen holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Houston and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama. Stephen has prior Oil and Gas experience in Instrumentation Engineering and Field Service roles in the Refining and Petrochemical Industry.

In his doctorate, he studied Applied Harmonic Analysis and his research focused on quantifying and minimizing the reconstruction error of image analysis techniques associated with the enhancement/detection of edges.

At Spectrum, he supports the Installed Systems Business Unit and applies his engineering and research skills to the improvement of data validation processes and data analysis tools. He also supports the development of Spectrum’s proprietary spectroscopic and data management software, NuWave and Tsunami.
