Mr. LaPierre earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Texas in Austin, and immediately joined the Process Chemistry Group of Radian Corporation where he supported environmental engineering efforts in the areas of hazardous waste destruction, power production, chemical manufacturing, chemical weapons demilitarization, and groundwater pollution abatement. After diversifying his education further with formal training in electronics, engineering design/CAD, GIS, and LabVIEW programming, he joined Signature Science LLC to develop custom dispersion and detection hardware for the U.S. Government and their national security partners.

At the end of his 14-year tenure at Signature Science, Mr. LaPierre transitioned into the field of ambient air monitoring with Sabio Environmental LLC where he designed, manufactured, and tested new analyzers for the detection of NAAQS Criteria Pollutants. Today, Mr. LaPierre serves as a Senior Scientist within the Devices Group at Spectrum Environmental Solutions where he supports new product development and field measurements.
