Dr. Erik Casbeer earned his PhD in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry from the Florida Institute of Technology, delving into alternative oxidants for water treatment, fostering international collaborations, and undertaking research appointments across Europe and Asia. Subsequently, he excelled as a postdoctoral fellow at Oak Ridge National Lab, making significant contributions to the development of novel catalysts for the conversion of ethanol to renewable fuels.
During his six-year tenure at ExxonMobil, Dr. Casbeer refined his skills within downstream manufacturing and research testing facilities, specializing in petroleum testing, method development, and validation. His impactful three-year engagement at Anton Paar encompassed technical consulting and sales, driving the integration of cutting-edge spectroscopy and analytical instrumentation. With over a decade of post-graduate experience, he has adeptly managed diverse testing technologies in the petroleum industry including; FTIR, GC, XFR, ICP, titration, guided ASTM and EPA compliance, and delivered expert technical consultation.
