Dr. Pearman serves as the Director of Spectrum Environmental Solutions’ Devices Business. He previously served as the Plant Forensic Analytical Chemist for the 3M Company supporting production efforts for two major divisions and served on the Manufacturing Forensics Network supporting production efforts at three additional production facilities. Previously, employed by The Dow Chemical Company as an Associate Analytical Manager and Spectroscopy Subject Matter Expert following a 20-year military career which culminated as an Academy Professor, Photonics for the Department of Chemistry and Life Science at West Point.
Following his military career, Dr. Pearman held positions in both production and instrumental industries. His research interests include Raman Spectroscopy, Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and Hyperspectral Imaging. He has authored or co-authored several papers in the areas of LIBS, Raman, SERS and has co-authored three book chapters on LIBS. Dr. Pearman is a proven, resourceful, and detail-driven leader and analytical chemist with demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis, analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, multivariate analysis and spectroscopy. He possess a proven record in managing multiple multidisciplinary projects covering a broad range of technologies.
